Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering review for pipeline design, material selection, layouts & drawings, datasheets, requisitions & bid evaluations. Collaborating with Project, Operations and other technical disciplines for successful project execution.
  • Ensure the pipeline preventative maintenance program satisfies both Statutory requirements and Air Products procedures (as appropriate), and the program is contained in the asset integrity program and scheduled in the maintenance management system. Ensuring alignment with a Deming cycle or PDCA strategy.
  • Evaluate inspection results, assess fitness for purpose to industry standard (e.g. ASME B31.8S) and recommend corrective actions. For repairs, modifications and changes to existing pipelines provide technical review and approval.
  • Assist the Plant Manager/ Pipeline Manager for submissions and/or presentations to third parties and regulatory authorities. Also provide support for operational pipeline-related activities including audits: internal, clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Participate and contribute to studies including QRA / OPHR assessments as required by the company’s risk assessment or regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain specifications for Consultant Engineering companies undertaking non/routine inspection/maintenance tasks e.g. cathodic protection and DCVG examinations. Provide technical support to Engineering and/or Ops Projects on permit issues, design documents, risk assessments for construction of new pipelines in the region
