SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & QUALIFICATIONS

• Intermediate understanding of SCADA systems and hardware
• A minimum of 5 years pipeline operations and procedures experience
• A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
• A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing
• Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space Entry, WHIMS and TDG, Ground Disturbance, ICS
• Must be able to clearly and accurately document their work and ensure consistent communication with the Facility Manager and other key stakeholders
• Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate good decision-making skills
• Proven ability to work well under limited amount of supervision
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices
• Must demonstrate strong teaching methods regarding all processes in the plant
• Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and accountability to Lead Operator / Facility Manager
• Ensure consistent and clear communication with the Facility Manager and other internal & external stakeholders
• Demonstrate a commitment to safe and efficient operations of the pipeline system
• Participate as required in Operating manual updates
• Participate as required in equipment book updates
• Conformance to company, Federal, provincial regulations as applicable
• Arrange for annual weed control
• Participate in Mutual Aid Committee meetings as requested
• Attend training courses relevant to the position g., H2S, First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, Ground Disturbance, ICS, Confined Space
• Receive and delegate/investigate aerial pipeline reports
• Participate in QC tasks such as sampling & meter proving
• Receive and distribute 1st Calls and line locating
• Duties and responsibilities of this position are subject to change as deemed necessary by the Facility Manger.
