Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Supervisor to join our client’s team in Basel, Switzerland, on a contract basis with an immediate start. The project is set to run through the end of 2025, with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the construction industry, specializing in piping systems, and will be responsible for supervising on-site installation and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate piping installation and maintenance activities on-site.
- Ensure compliance with engineering designs, specifications, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on piping systems.
- Manage and lead a team of piping engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including progress reports and safety records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to piping systems.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Piping Supervisor in industrial or construction settings.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in piping or mechanical engineering.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or oil & gas industries.
- Familiarity with Swiss regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
