Are you an enthusiastic, dynamic, and organised individual? Do you have a passion for working with students and contributing to their success?
We are seeking a Placement & Internship Advisor to join our newly developed Placement and Internship Team.
Working as an integral part of the Universities Careers & Employability team, this role will provide innovative and inspirational support to undergraduate and postgraduate students, enabling them to access a variety of work-based learning opportunities. As a Placement and Internship Adviser you will use creative ways to engage with students, raising their aspirations through targeted information and advice and empowering them to gain the relevant skills through work experience, to support them through their student journey.
You will be required to form effective and collaborative working relationships with a number of stakeholders, including students, academic colleagues, members of the Careers and Employability Team and a wide range of employers. You will therefore need to be a confident and able communicator.
An ability to collect, manage and interpret key data using a range of systems will also be required.
This role is also responsible for maximising engagement with our Lincoln Award by monitoring the progress of multiple differentiated groups and informing activity to extend our reach and increase completion rates.
In support of our commitment to developing colleagues by providing opportunities for internal movement and promotion, applications for this opportunity will only be accepted from people who are currently employed by the University of Lincoln, our current students, and any currently engaged agency workers who have been with us for more than 12 weeks. We actively encourage applications from all colleagues across the University with the relevant skills and experience.
