REQUIREMENTS:

• University diploma
• 3+ years of experience, focused on engineering and / or operations management
• French and English, written; English spoken (an asset)
• Good sense of priorities and sense of urgency
• Good interpersonal skills and dynamism
• Good judgment
• Ability to work in a team in a pressurized environment
• Knowledge of the SAP environment and the management of complex nomenclatures (an asset)

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

The planner must ensure the progress of the parts needed for production, delivery on time to internal customers and good communication with them if necessary (assembly department, spare parts, experimental department). The planner must be able to prioritize in the different departments in order to be able to deliver its parts to its different customers. Good communication with factory workers will facilitate the advancement of priorities. Communicating priorities from day planners to evening planners is also essential to ensure business continuity.

• Communication of priorities with unionized employees
• Understand the priorities of parts and the urgency of their delivery

• Understanding of SAP and customer requests in order to meet them

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

• Analysis of the request schedule for scheduling
• Plan the production schedule by evaluating the capacity of the machines
• Ensures the availability of equipment and follows up on missing equipment with the buyers concerned
• Tracks parts from start-up to delivery
• Route parts to the right customer (engine center, aftermarket, experimental)
• Optimizes inventories
• Initiate and support continuous improvement projects
