QUALIFICATIONS:

SUMMARY:

The Demand Planner takes ownership of the demand planning process for his/her respective portfolio. With the assistance of Marketing and Sales, the Demand Planner prepares the monthly forecast per product/customer for the Made to stock and Made to order items produced by Keurig Dr Pepper. The incumbent will lead the monthly forecast review with sales team as well as participate in the Demand Consensus meeting as part of KDP Canada’s S&OP process. He/She will also provide timely and accurate analysis on various supply chain aspects of the business. The purpose of this role is to provide the most accurate picture permitting to align production and replenishment needs in a way to balance service level, inventory and efficiency requirements. This role also helps provide and enable medium to long term planning around capacity needs and identification of potential operational constraints.
The function must be executed with a view to creating added value for the organization and with a continuous improvement mindset in terms of process and results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in mathematics, accounting, operations, supply chain management or in business-related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a demand planning / forecasting position in which extensive analysis were performed
  • Experience in the consumer goods industry and/or food business considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to generate and maintain an accurate rolling 104 weeks demand forecast
  • Maintains the made to stock forecasts for the Canadian market per product/customer through the statistical forecasting system (Demantra) with the collaboration and input from sales and marketing force to ensure accurate and non-biased projections.
  • Become demand portfolio expert through understanding consumption and shipment trends in addition to customer, category and industry dynamics (Hard Goods, Hot & Cold beverages).
  • Maintains assumption management documentation and process in order to elaborate demand forecast building blocks.
  • Responsible for providing root cause analysis and corrective action recommendation based on results of forecasting metrics for specified portfolio.
  • Actively participates in the monthly Consensus/S&OP meetings with the goal to facilitate and reach a consensus forecast between Supply chain and commercial.
  • Prepares and runs monthly reviews with key account manager and participates in cross-functional customer focus team meetings.
  • Participates in annual budget planning and portfolio rationalization activities.
  • Participates in review of operational performance (back orders, overstock, etc.) when required. Manages product allocations for their products as required as per supply insights.
  • Bridges communication to other functions with respect to demand planning scope of activities. Key contact for sales and customer service on product availability and/or demand.
  • Provides business support with various demand planning related analysis.
  • Participates in regular meetings with Commercial and US Demand Planning teams, to synergize reporting & processes.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and the review of new or existing process documentation.
  • Maintains strong ties with production planning and replenishment departments to ensure accurate visibility and strong coordination on demand and stock availability.
  • Performs special assignments as required by Senior management.
