Qualifications:

  • A university or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience in project controls management, specializing in project and program planning/scheduling
  • Proven experience in monitoring and driving project schedule performance
  • Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models, financial management and construction estimating methodologie
  • Proficiency in setting up and working with Project Management Information Systems/Project Controls Software ( e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project, Unifier or others)
  • Comprehensive understanding and practical skills in the development and management of Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, schedule and cost baselines, earned value analysis, risk management, and change management processes
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, PMI-SP, E.I.T/P.Eng., CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry-recognized designation is considered a strong asset
  • A positive attitude, professional curiosity and the ability to collaborate with local and regional teams
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project and technical issue

Responsibilities:

Colliers Project Leaders Inc. is looking for a Project Planner – Major Projects. You will be part of the Quebec business unit project management team and will be responsible of upholding your client’s best interests by planning and controlling their projects and programs, ensuring they are optimally delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work on many types of major construction projects in the essential infrastructures, institutional and/or municipal buildings sectors as a Project Planner.
  • You will develop master schedules for complex large-scale projects regrouping multiple stakeholders amongst multidisciplinary teams.
  • You will lean on your knowledge, skills and expertise to help your clients meet or exceed their project and program goals and objectives by presenting them with all the critical information, enabling them to make the best advised decisions possible.
  • You will represent and defend your client’s best interests by developing, monitoring and controlling the schedules.
  • You will be proficient with Project Management Information Systems and gifted in applying analytical and earned value methodologies through various project control tools utilization.
  • You will be excellent at converting project performance information into progression reports and dashboards including the global analysis of the schedule performance, key performance indicators, forecasts, risks and recommended actions.
  • Your project teams will rely on your aptitude to manage, communicate and coordinate changes with multiple stakeholders while resolving issues in order to deliver projects on time and on budget.
