RESPONSIBILITIES: The Planned Giving Officer assists in the planning, organizing, and implementing of Culver’s Planned Giving program. They will direct a comprehensive marketing, solicitation and stewardship effort for all planned gifts. The Planned Giving Officer works collaboratively with the Advancement team to ensure front-line fundraisers know the benefits of strategic gift planning. A close working relationship with the Office of Marketing and Communications is important in this role to enable high-level marketing and strategic communication with the Culver constituency.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or have equivalent experience in a related field, minimum of 4 years of experience in progressively complex roles in nonprofit or education fundraising, law, or financial services. A working knowledge of Gift Planning vehicles, including trust and estate documents, charitable gift annuities, bequests, retirement assets, real estate, and other philanthropic gift opportunities that are available to donors is required. Additionally, the successful candidates will have: highly developed interpersonal skills, exceptional organizational skills, be well disciplined, able to work under the pressure of many priorities and deadlines as well as having the interest and ability to travel.
