Description:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in planned giving or other professional advisor role preferred but not required (example: financial planning, accounting, law, fundraising, etc.)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

  • Outgoing. Eager to meet new people and converse effectively with them.
  • General knowledge of financial matters and the value of charitable giving.
  • A genuine interest in the field of planned giving, with a desire to learn more.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize duties and manage time well.
  • Independent, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Knowledge of PG Calc, GiftWrap, and Studio Enterprise a plus

Responsibilities:

Develop and cultivate a donor portfolio for planned gifts. Meet with prospective donors and prepare planned gift proposals. Research capacity and qualifications for planned gift potential. Steward the existing Legacy Society members. Make formal presentations, as needed. Cultivate relationships through communication and engagement to include telephone, email, regular mail, in-person meetings, and donor events. Some travel required.
