Moog is looking for a Buyer to join the Operational Supply Chain team in Wolverhampton. At Moog, we’re focused on the customer and for us, this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high-profile.
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our spares and global sustainment operations. You will ensure timely delivery of goods and services, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement in our procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process 3rd Party Repairs and manage customer returns efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Programmes, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to address obsolescence issues.
  • Lead stakeholder reviews and implement action outcomes.
  • Manage Purchase Orders, schedules, and price variances.
  • Compile and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ) using established processes.
  • Oversee Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to align with business needs.
  • Own the purchasing work package for designated commodities.
  • Implement sourcing strategies as directed by the Sourcing Manager.
  • Foster strong supplier relationships to achieve project milestones.
  • Proactively mitigate supply chain risks and manage escalations.
  • Investigate alternative sources of supply and benchmark current supply chains.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably in aerospace.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and procurement software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
