WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

  • Industrial Engineer or DEP with 3 to 5 experiences preferably in operations curriculum or equivalent through job experience and training. Bachelors’ degree is an asset.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Excel is required.
  • Bilingual in French & English

Responsibilities:

The primary role of the Planner is daily planning, overseeing the MRP process and preparing costs. With effective collaborations and communication with different stakeholders, the Planner will ensure the availability of raw material for production and advise the operations coordinator for any shortage. The Planner will also assist with purchasing as needed.

  • Planner: (80% of job functions)
  • Assist in the monthly planning (MPS) and prepare the weekly achievements.
  • Prepare the MRP by checking the inventory level and production schedule on Monthly/ Weekly Basis.
  • Ensure raw material and required staff are available to fill production orders using inventory management tools and coordinate with department supervisors.
  • Enter Sample requests into schedule and co-ordinate required paperwork for production.
  • Responsible for Costing preparation before presenting it to the operations coordinator for validation.
  • Effective communication with the different departments, especially purchasing, to get the accurate costing in the briefest delay possible.
  • Purchaser: (20% of job functions)
  • Prepare and send purchase orders (PO) based on the information provided by the Planner, follows up on order with the suppliers
  • Data entries and filing: production, receiving and documents related to purchases
  • Collaborate with other departments on what is prioritized and important
