RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take the lead in all volume related forecasting, performing monthly reporting and analysis.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales,S&OP, and Operations Teams to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Specifically, coordinate , collect, and consolidate the monthy demand from the sales teams sales districts, key accounts, and sales development teams).
  • Reviews and analyzes market developments across product lines and market segments as reported and compiled by the market analyst, applying and incorporating market developments across product lines into the volume forecast
  • Establishes and provides regular monthly data reporting of relevant forecast data consistent with executive directions. Evaluates the success of Volvo strategies, tactics, positioning, and market economics relative to competitors as evidenced through the volume planning process for North America.
  • Has input into as well as supports global sales and operations planning (S&OP) projects as they are required to further enhance and improve Volvo’s forecasting process and systems.
  • Provides input and support to the Head of Commercial Management and Business Intelligence and team as they develop define and adjust both the market share and pricing strategies.
  • Key user of SAP based systems to input and manage 18-month rolling forecasts.
  • Interaction with Sales Teams, S&OP, and Operations
  • Performs strategic slot management to optimize production and sales
