Description:
JOB SUMMARY
To lead the Planning & Environment function and team in North England Forest District. Building excellent professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Maximising natural capital delivery within a commercially underpinned business model across all activities. Seeking opportunities to support national programmes including Woodland Creation and Biodiversity Action Plan. Working positively and collaboratively with all district and national staff and functions to improve outcomes. Delivering excellence in sustainable forest management across people, nature and economy, surpassing existing standards of UKFS and UKWAS.
ESSENTIAL PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- demonstrate experience of managing conflicting priorities and be able to demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills
- demonstrate experience of leading the development of strategic and operational plans that have ownership and are deliverable
- competent IT user with experience in MS Office suite of applications
DESIRABLE PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- competent user of GIS
