YOUR PROFILE

You will be an experienced journalist with a background working in international television, digital publishing or a news agency. You will need:

  • A passionate interest and experience in news and international events
  • The boldness to prioritise limited resource, based on strong editorial judgment
  • Confidence to chair editorial meetings and liaise with leading news organisations
  • Experience in forward planning and scheduling upcoming stories and events
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships in a small team and international environment
  • An advocate of the “power to persuade”
  • Willingness to travel and work in shifts
  • Knowledge of video newsgathering, platforms, and IP distribution
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English with other languages highly desirable

Responsibilities:

ENEX is looking for an experienced News Editor with highly developed organisational and planning skills. The successful candidate will be an experienced, creative, committed and clever journalist with an understanding of the importance of stepping back to see the bigger picture.
Our news desk, based in Luxembourg, deals with more than 35,000 video items a year and covers scores of live events and breaking news stories each week.
Many of those stories are known about in advance and we need a strong journalist to decide which to invest in and the operational experience to know how to execute.
Our organisation’s strength comes from the work done by our partners, more than 50 of the world’s biggest news organisations. You should lead the building and maintaining of the relationships necessary to ensure collaborative and efficient cooperation.
