About the role

The project is based in Peterhead (North East of Scotland) and form August 2025 you will be expected to be on site minimum 2 days a week. Until then you can work from our Head Office based in Eurocentral (Near Glasgow) or remotely during the ECI phase.
This is a long term (6-8 year) strategic project for someone with experience in civil /earthworks and large-scale complex builds.
Working with the Senior Planning Manager and Head of Operations you will be responsible for implementing project planning procedures, ensuring compliance with the business management system and establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers, project team and partners.
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for the preparation and monitoring of detailed programmes and programme reporting during both Early Contractor Involvement and Construction Delivery Phases.
This will involve the development of logistic sequences and written submissions (as required) for projects varying in value from £5m to in excess of £100m. You will also develop and maintain the 4D Planning function during the project delivery.
Who we’re looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
- Substantial experience of planning services within large complex environments within the construction and engineering industry.
- Good experience in the use of planning techniques and the required planning tool-sets;
- Has thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and planning software such as Asta and P6;
- Experience of 4D planning.
- Good report writing skills;
- Attention to detail and will see tasks through to completion.
- Good understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications; particularly NEC;
- Good understanding of various methods of planning, programming, and progress monitoring; Good understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming
- Good understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement.
- Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements;
- Relevant CSCS Card
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
- A degree, or HND in a relevant subject is desirable, as is Professional membership of one or more of the following: RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE/CIH
