Description:

The opportunity has come up for a Planning Team Leader to join our team of total property professionals. We are looking for a motivated principal planner who is excited about the possibility to led a high performing planning team, and enjoys tackling the challenges of bringing clients projects to life.
Our planning team is part of our Environmental & Horizontal team with the team itself split across both Hamilton and Tauranga, though we are open to candidates in the Auckland region. We are looking for someone with strong local connections to their region, a proven ability to mentor and develop planners at all stages of their career, proven experience successfully liaising with key stakeholders. You will be a strong leader who can provide clear guidance and support to both the planning team and other consultants within BCD, while proactively identifying opportunities to add value to clients projects. What we are looking for:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree, ideally at least 10 years’ experience gained within NZ
  • Ideally Full membership with NZPI
  • Proven experience in private planning
  • Genuinely passionate about understanding the views of specialists to broker the best outcomes for our clients
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Problem solver with an eye for detail
  • Commitment to providing the best outcomes for your clients
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to build positive rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to mentor planners at all stages of their career
  • Proven capability to effectively work across multi-disciplinary projects, sharing expertise to add value to the clients.
