We are on the search for a Plant Accountant to join our team based in Round Rock, Texas. This role primarily involves managing financial data in our manufacturing industry, ensuring accuracy in inventory control, and assisting in financial reporting tasks.

• Assist in the completion of monthly end close activities, including the posting of recurring and adjusting journal entries, and site reporting.
• Maintain proper inventory control management, which encompasses raw material and finished goods cycle counts, month-end reporting, and adherence to policies.
• Ensure all financial master data is accurate and properly maintained. This includes managing BOM quantities, BOM part numbers, BOM usage, fixed asset tag creation, fixed asset project creation, PO part numbers, and transaction accounting rules.
• Prepare a detailed Balance Sheet for management review, specifically focusing on Inventory, GRNB and Fixed Asset accounts.
• Handle inventory transaction processing within our PeopleSoft system.
• Reconcile inventory balances between PeopleSoft and WASP systems.
• Assist in the management of site capex plans, including forecasting, approvals, and fixed asset inventories and tagging.
• Review and analyze capital expenditure, identify fixed asset additions, and report on the monthly fixed asset listing.
• Participate in staff and production meetings with the Operations group as required.
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to ensure accuracy of general ledger account coding of purchase orders.
• Gather and manipulate data to facilitate analysis, prepare and distribute reports, and provide support for such analysis as needed.
• Provide overall support to the Cost Accounting Manager and Director of Accounting Operations.
• Must possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role as a Plant Accountant.
• Proficiency in using 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Eaton, and Epicor is required.
• Strong knowledge of various accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Annual Budget, Auditing, and Budget Processes is essential.
• Must have the ability to manage complex financial data and generate reports to support management decisions.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is required.
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on analysis.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is expected.
• Certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements is beneficial.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
