Description:

PLANT CONTROLLER

Avantium Renewable Polymers is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Controller to join our team. The Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to our manufacturing plant (incl its supply chain), ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to optimize plant performance and profitability. Furthermore, the Plant Controller will also be responsible for the plant control of the pilot plant, located in Geleen. Since this is a new organisation, the Plant Controller will also have a key role in the new ERP roll-out for the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

You will report directly to the Finance Director and work very closely with the Plant Manager and form part of our Plant Management Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all financial activities within the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard plant assets and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant management and cross-functional teams to develop annual operating budgets and long-term strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with supply chain management (incl feedstock and end product toll manufacturing) to provide financial control, including budgeting, forecasting, cost and variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Analyze variances between actual performance and budgeted/forecasted figures, and provide recommendations to address any discrepancies. This concerns both the fixed out of pocket costs of the plant as well as the variable costs (utilities, raw materials etc).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for plant management and corporate stakeholders.
  • Lead the plant’s financial planning and analysis processes, including revenue forecasting, expense management, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned by senior management.
