We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller in the Manufacturing industry located in the Greater Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. As a Plant Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing all accounting operations for the manufacturing plant, managing specific KPIs, and performing cost analysis. You will be instrumental in facilitating the monthly financial close process, preparing financial statements, and guiding the local management team in budgeting and forecasting.

• Oversee all accounting operations for the manufacturing plant
• Manage and analyze the company’s specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Provide analytical support to management teams
• Facilitate the monthly financial close process and prepare financial statements
• Coordinate and prepare monthly forecasting with local management team and value streams
• Prepare and present the annual budget and strategic plans in coordination with Plant Management
• Manage the standard cost and manufacturing account system
• Oversee capital spending and cost savings projects
• Implement and monitor all internal controls and facilitate all external and internal audits
• Continuously evaluate plant and finance processes to ensure compliance with GAAP and identify improvement opportunities
• Oversee the direct supervision of finance and accounting team members, including work assignment distribution and time-off schedule management.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Annual Budget preparation and management
• Proficiency in Auditing processes
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Experience in KPI Reporting
• Ability to execute Month End Close tasks
• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation
• Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Knowledge of Forecasting and Modeling techniques
• Experience with Standard Cost Accounting
• Experience with Annual Inventory processes
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines
• Proven experience as a Plant Controller or similar role in the manufacturing industry
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
