Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is integral to our manufacturing operations, focusing on optimizing plant operations through strategic accounting and finance management. The position involves taking ownership of the plant’s accounting and financial functions, providing critical financial insights, and driving operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Plant Manager to manage and optimize revenue, COGS, freight, and other cost drivers
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close, regulatory compliance, and internal audits
- Develop annual operating plans and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams
- Foster productive relationships with vendors
- Monitor trade, freight, and sales-related accruals
- Conduct variance analysis, prepare financial reports, and present findings to senior management
- Ensure the integrity of financial systems, processes, and GAAP compliance
- Provide pricing and cost insights to support strategic decision-making
- Lead cost-saving initiatives and partner with the Operations team to drive productivity
- Support capital evaluations and investment decisions, ensuring ROI and payback
- Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate customer credit records.
- Proficiency in Accounting Functions, including the ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, and conduct financial analysis.
- Ability to create, manage and analyze Annual Budgets to ensure financial efficiency and growth.
- Familiarity with Budget Processes, including planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting, with the ability to accurately determine product costs, analyze variances, and implement cost control measures.
- Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing processes, systems, and standards.
- Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), including creation, management, and alteration in a manufacturing setting.
