Description:
We are offering a unique opportunity for a Plant Controller in the Food & Food Processing industry. Located in Oak Brook, Illinois, this role will be pivotal in integrating accounting and cost processes for our recently acquired business. This job offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, providing a chance for the right individual to make significant contributions to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration of accounting and cost processes for newly acquired business units
- Oversee the assessment of month-end close procedures
- Handle the evaluation and improvement of Costing/Inventory processes
- Conduct regular account reconciliation to ensure accuracy
- Manage budgeting activities for the business unit
- Perform inventory analysis to optimize stock levels and reduce costs
- Utilize MS Navision for various accounting tasks, when necessary
- Lead the process of acquisition integration in financial aspects
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP in all accounting practices
- Support Global Manufacturing operations with relevant financial data and analysis.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the Food & Food Processing industry
- Proficiency in US GAAP
- Proven experience in Global Manufacturing
- Proficiency in Budgeting and Cost - Standard processes
- Demonstrated experience in Inventory Analysis
- Prior experience in Account Reconciliation
- Proficiency in using Navision software
- Experience in Acquisition Integration
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
