Description:
Job Summary: Provides engineering oversight for all plant operations, equipment, and systems. Oversees site PSM, PHA, Mechanical Integrity inspection & testing programs. Ensure all plant systems and processes meet engineering standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Improve plant process reliability and a preventative and predictive maintenance strategy.
- Prepares reports documenting plant activities to satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement energy cost reduction initiatives.
- Supply technical input on safety issues and standards
- Provides engineering design and cost estimation of plant modifications/upgrades.
- Aids in troubleshooting operation process and system problems.
- Supply management assistance for larger maintenance projects that require contractors, contractor requirements, process studies, improvements,
- Assists in responding to and preparing permit applications and/or modifications.
- Supports multiple facilities both owned and/or operated by Heritage.

Education: Four-year college degree, engineering or engineering technology required; mechanical preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years engineering in relevant industrial plant operations required. Previous supervisory experience required.
Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to learn and apply federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the environmental services industry as well as engineering standards. High level problem solving, and project management skills required. Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts. Strong mechanical aptitude required. Strong business writing skills necessary. Ability to work in fast paced environment. Strong organizational skills
