POSITION SUMMARY

A plant engineer is responsible for the operations of a manufacturing unit including equipment’s, processes and human resources.
Oversees the daily operations and ensures plant operates efficiently and productively. Ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations. Liaison with local authorities such as BOMBA, DOSH, DOE, AELB and ensure compliance to all state and federal laws.

EDUCATION DEGREE

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience with internal procedure HSE and COSHH requirement.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with engineering practices and all local requirements
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Focus on identification of potential issues and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and on own initiative.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent.
  • Required engineering related skills.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in related field.
  • Familiarize in maintenance programs using PM tools or CMMS.
    Must have PC experience, as well as working familiarity of desktop applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES

  • To manage a safe working environment that results in attaining target of ZERO accidents. Perform regular audit on all safety control programs
  • Ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations. Liaison with local authorities such as BOMBA, DOSH, DOE, AELB and ensure compliance to all state and federal laws.
  • To deputies Plant Manager and RPO responsibility when required.
  • Continuous improvement of works method as results of reduce time to repair (MTTR) and mean time before failure (MTBF)
  • Responsible for emergency unplanned breakdown. To recognized that the responsibility for site and plant is a 24-hours, 7-days week commitment and to be prepared to respond to “call out” at any time.
  • Provide technical solution related to breakdown issues in the area of responsibility.
  • Provide analysis of critical spare parts and stock control.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities process improvement, and maintenance of equipment and machinery according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
  • Administer and resolve all technical maintenance issues.
  • Organize various performance appraisals and recommend training programs as per requirement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs.
  • Evaluate all production activities and prepare reports for all activities and inspect all associate plant machines and equipment.
