Overview:
The Mgr Plant Engineering Compliance will work together with Plant Engineering leaders to ensure a standardized approach to regulatory compliance by developing forward looking compliance and training programs that will meet and exceed all regulatory requirements. In the event that deficiencies are discovered, the manager will assist in developing action plans to address those deficiencies in a timely manner. The Manager of Plant Engineering Compliance leads the Facilities Compliance Monitors assigned to specific Novant Health operating markets. The Manager serves as a subject area expert related to regulatory compliance. Individual assigned to this position must possess the skills necessary to effectively communicate with Plant Engineering Services personnel, Accreditation & Regulatory managers, vendors, regulatory agencies, local, state and federal agencies and Novant Health team members in general.

Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Management or a related field; required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a healthcare setting with management responsibilities for Plant Engineering regulatory and accreditation documentation assoc with federal, state, local regulations, incl the Joint Commission and DNV along with 2 years leadership exp; required.
- Minimum of 5 years providing support to the Environment of Care Committee in a hospital, ambulatory surgery center, or long term care facility; preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Certified Healthcare Safety Professional or Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, preferred.
- Additional Skills Required: Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association Codes, International Building Codes, familiarly with federal, local, and state regulations affecting facilities Knowledge of Center for Medicare and Medicaid Conditions of Participation, knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care, and Life Safety standards, OSHA, EPA.
- Additional Skills Preferred: Understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, experience with CAD software.
