Plant Initiative Manager
About the role:
Leads and ensures fast and reliable execution of the defined global and sites projects.
Is responsible for planning and executing strategically important projects from idea through completion within Essity. Is usually managing larger and more complex and/or international projects that will significantly affect the PS Medical organization. The role is responsible for managing projects in line with predefined budget, timeline, and quality criteria.
Plans and executes strategically important projects and programs according to agreed and established project management standards. Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budget, risk, and chance within allocated projects. Brings excellence in leadership, competence, experience, and project tools enabling successful completion of complex and important projects.
Ensures use of and spreading of purposeful and proven project management tools in projects and networks. Establishes and leads the official project teams. Develop team members in Project Management. Establishes efficient steering functions in programs and projects. Ensures effective communication to stakeholders.

What will you do:

  • Planning of project with cross functional team. Project team set up and resources allocation.
  • Approval of project budget and resources. Alignment of project deliverables and quality requirements.
  • Execution of strategically important projects and programs according to agreed and established project management standards
  • Secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budget, risk, and chance within allocated projects.
  • Bring excellence in leadership, competence, experience, and project tools enabling successful completion of complex and important projects.
  • Ensure effective communication to stakeholders. Constantly update project team, Steerco, and stakeholders on changes. Get required approvals.
  • Manage functional and site resources allocation to the projects, identify and address bottlenecks.
  • Make sure that project and initiatives are executed based on existing project management and functional standards (PLCM/Prime) and best practices.
  • Secures application of Operational (Manufacturing) Checklist within the plant
  • Drives and executes together with local stakeholders’ actions to optimize product/material/equipment utilization for respective projects.
  • Support preparation of budget updates and forecast for Projects as well as actuals tracking.
  • Leads, coaches, and trains project members according to pre-defined methods and standards.
  • Drives the continuous improvement approach in the small initiatives and Projects execution.
  • Manage Project Capex TG approvals for projects.
  • Maintain project management system.

Who are we looking for:

  • Leadership, facilitating and influencing skills, project management, ability to work across boundaries, holistic thinking and business understanding, value creation, can do attitude, results focus.
  • Strong Project Management, CAPEX Management experience
  • Strong leadership and direct people management experience
  • Senior stakeholder management experience (i.e. site managers, cross functional global directors, VPs) and business acumen
  • Experience in transfer and technology implementation initiatives as well as continuous improvement projects.
  • Entrepreneur mindset able to take the lead and support business growth strategies/plans with minimum guidance.
  • Experience to lead cross-functional teams and able to lead cross functional teams without having direct authority.
  • Advanced knowledge of English language both written and spoken
