About the role
Balfour Beatty have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Manager to join our Plant & Fleet team working on M25 J10 project , where you have the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled team and the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the industry.
A major branch of our business is our Plant & Fleet team, who provide the complete package of plant, vehicles, and equipment across our UK network. Supplying over 8,000 cars, LCVs, and HGVs, as well as specialist plant and equipment, our teams have an intimate and up-to-date knowledge of the plant and fleet industry.
SOME OTHER KEY AREAS WILL INCLUDE:
- Monitor asset utilisation across the Project - optimise the use telematics of plant and fleet equipment and minimise costs.
- Engaging with OEM and BB innovation on product development
- Liaising with Logistics team to manage plant and fleet movements to and from site.
- Operational point of contact for all plant and fleet related issues on the Project.
- Site safety walks, audit equipment for BB specification compliance and drive higher standards and innovate new idea’s
Who we’re looking for
Responsibilities:
ROLE
Manage all aspects of Plant & Fleet Management (technical, H&S, procurement, hire, data analysis) Responsible for the plant management of assets on site, maximising opportunity, managing utilisation and adding commercial value.
What you’ll be doing
TO JOIN US IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Experience/background in plant operations
- Ability to carry out on site plant inspections
- Previous experience in a Plant Management role
- Valid UK driving licence
