POSITION OVERVIEW

The Plant Manager will oversee all operations at the Escondido facility, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. This role reports to the Director of Plant Operations and engages with senior Hudson leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Directs and coordinates the daily operation of a mid-size production facility.
  • Manage daily plant operations, including labor forecasting and process efficiency.
  • Support employee relations, including job direction, vacation approvals, disciplinary actions, and policy enforcement.
  • Ensure the completion of required training programs (e.g., hazmat, safety, equipment) and maintain training logs.
  • Delegate order preparation tasks and ensure final products meet Hudson’s quality standards.
  • Report inventory status to Corporate on a monthly and yearly basis.
  • Ensure facility compliance with all relevant federal, state, local, and OSHA regulations.
  • Manage and report KPI, GFP, and other performance reporting, as well as shipping/receiving reports and workflow efficiency tracking.
  • Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance process performance.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed.
  • Origin Inspection: Oversee preparation & inspections for all phases including Phase “IV” DCMA QAR Interface / Final Inspection.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years in plant/production supervisory roles
  • College degree or equivalent education + experience required
  • Experience in the handling of refrigerants, compressed gases, or chemical manufacturing an advantage.
  • Proven record of strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Familiarity with plant safety oversight and reporting.
  • Training in the principles of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing is a benefit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications required with special emphasis on MS Excel and big data management. Knowledge of Dynamics365 ERP systems a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills | Ability to work independently.
  • Hands-On, independent thinker familiar with change management.
