The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation and execution of the company’s manufacturing strategy which supports the overall business strategy and delivery of the company’s short and long-term goals and objectives while maintaining core values of the organization. Key elements of the position include overseeing all daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficient and effective production processes, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Plant Manager will be tasked with reviewing processes, streamlining operations, and holding team members accountable for their deliverables. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of plant operations, and a focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management or a similar role preferably within a engineer to order or project plant setting.
  • Proven experience in managing plant operations, production processes, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and other relevant software.

SKILLS:

  • Strong operational and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure adherence to all environmental, health and safety policies/protocols and promote an active and positive safety culture.
  • Be a committed leader and proponent of the M&M Manufacturing Lean Program and Continuous Improvement to provide a safer, and efficient operation delivering positive operating income results.
  • People Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of plant employees.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback, coaching, and training to staff.
  • Customer Sales and Relationship Management:
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for sales growth and contribute to the development of sales strategies.
  • Financial Management:
  • Prepare and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor and control expenses to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
