We are looking for a Plant Manager to oversee the operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, lead an all-star team, conduct quality control, transportation and adherence to safety regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the plant for extended periods.
  • Ability to sit or stand for periods at a time while preforming office duties.
  • Capability to navigate stairs, ladders, or other elevated areas.
  • Proficiency in using tools and machinery, along with ability to use a mouse and keyboard for office related activities
  • Adequate vision to monitor processes and read gauges and instruments in the plant.
  • Adequate vision to complete office tasks such as reading and editing word documents, excel spreadsheets, or emails.
  • Ability to hear alarms, equipment sounds, and communicate effectively in a noisy environment.
  • Willingness to work in various environments such as in the office, or in the plant, including temperature variations and potential exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.

EXPERIENCE

Preferred

  • 5 - 10 years: Sign manufacturing and production experience

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily plant operations, including production scheduling, workforce management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Production Planning:
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resource allocation and minimizing costs.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure product conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations. Foster a strong safety culture within the plant.
  • Performance Management:
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure plant performance (including Utilization, Direct Labor %, NCs, etc.)
  • Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Build and develop a high-performance team of production supervisors, leads, and staff.
  • Cost Management:
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives to improve plant profitability.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Analyze and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Communication:
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, supply chain and other plants.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be required of the job holder upon business needs and at the request of Pattison ID Management.
