Description:
LA semiconductor is seeking highly motivated individual to join our Plant Operation team. As a Plant Operations Technician, you will be joining a team responsible for the operations and maintenance of all facilities equipment and instrumentation systems required to support the operation of a Semiconductor manufacturing process. The focus of work will include monitoring, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs of support / building equipment and systems. Technician responsibilities are at times physically demanding with varying working conditions, indoors, outdoors, and within clean room environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Monitor mechanical, control, & Life safety systems. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks. Perform daily tasks without supervision.
- Understand and follow safe work practices.
- Certify knowledge of regulatory compliance.
- Able to work independently or within a group
- Ability to work within office software systems.
- Work in a team environment
- Willing to be trained to operate Fire Protection and Hazardous Gas Monitoring systems
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs. repetitively.
- Remain as shift flexible as possible as there exists the chance of being moved from the nights to the day shift (or vice versa), also must be able to work weekends as well as weekdays (we are a 24/7 facility).
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate Degree, or Trade certifications in one of the following areas preferred- Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing/Pipe Fitter, Mechanical Program
- 3-4 years of Equivalent Experience in leu of degree in one of the following, Operating and Maintaining Industrial mechanical, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Chemicals, Hazardous gas, material handling systems
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities to maintain equipment and systems
- Operate and maintain systems such as HVAC, chemical distribution, and wastewater systems
- Handle / transport bulk chemical containers and change at point of use equipment
- Calibration of transmitters and /or sensors
- Understand and follow equipment specific operation and written maintenance procedures
- Proficient computer skills such as email, excel and word programs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve problems efficiently to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulations, operating permits, and company policies
- Train and certify to site specific safety training programs and maintain certifications such as (Respirator, Hazardous Materials Handling, OSHA required training, Forklift and Aerial lifts)
