Description:

We are hiring for a full-time position as 2nd Shift Plant Supervisor - working Monday - Friday 2 PM - 11 PM - in Miami, FL

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in manufacturing operations, management, and/or logistics
  • Experience in paper, packaging, or print would be a bonus, but not required
  • Prior management or leadership positions are a plus, but not required
  • High school diploma or GED. Any formal training in management, maintenance, or production would be nice to have
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and ERP Systems
  • Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly associates, management, and peers
  • Able to handle daily duties of a shipping and receiving office
  • Able to operate heavy machinery and powered industrial trucks (Forklift and clamp truck)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, shifting between a variety of tasks as needed
  • Resourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to challenging situations that result in continuous improvement!

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for manufacturing activities and shipping/receiving on their shift
  • Participate in safety initiatives and commit to a safe working environment - free of accidents and doing no harm to employees and the community
  • Ensure data integrity, particularly as it pertains to production, inventory management, and job costing
  • Optimize production throughput in balance with safety, quality, customer service, and inventory objectives
  • Provide training, coaching, and discipline as appropriate to drive accountability
  • Lead daily team huddles to review metrics and motivate team members
  • Coordinate shipments, prepare bills of lading, and other needed documents, scan, file and prepare end of day reports
  • Any other machine operation and process monitoring or data collection that the supervisor may ask
