For our German site in Bayreuth we are looking for

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in Engineering
• Good experience in polymers and application technologies, knowledge and expertise of polymer structure / property, processing technologies and application industries
• Mathematical and physical skills
• Experience in inter-functional projects and resource management
• Fluency German and English skills
• Project management culture, teamwork and problem solving approach
• Team player with open mind and good communication and network skills

The purpose of this job is to ensure the successful transition of newly developed Polypropylene Compounds products to serial production at the Bayreuth site. You will provide technical support from the Technical Center (TC) in Bayreuth to the laboratories, the Technical Service (TS) group, the New Business Development group, the Product and Application Development group, and the production team. Additionally, you will support special serial production actions initiated by asset management and/or plant quality. You will also assist with Technical Center activities and European Product and Application Development, including the implementation and local maintenance of the Sample Manager, as well as support the maintenance of existing Technical Center and production databases.

• Preparation and follow-up of MPC’s (Modifications of Plant Condition process):Product transfers from ones site to another, change of existing products (e. g. specifications, raw materials, etc.) and plant trials for new products
• Technical focal point for production problems (product related issues): Specifications, processing behavior of additives, problems with raw materials
• Initiate cost reduction programs together with the product responsible PAD engineer and Asset Management
• Documentation and follow-up of the color production standards for the PCMA production
• Key User TC Database and implementation support for Sample Manager (incl local Superuser role)
• Interfaces with Product and Application Development, New Business Development and Technical Service, Manufacturing and Asset Management
• Support complaint analysis and conception of corrective actions on plant level
• PLM – Superuser (SAP Product Lifecycle Management-Software)
• Perform and control annual product audits
• Member of Advance Product Quality Planning for Bayreuth
• Quality Superuser
