Your team and your responsibilities:
TEAM DESCRIPTION
The accessory development team is responsible for development of accessories (such as exterior decorations, front guards, stickers, mudguards, trunk liners, floor mats, etc) for all Toyota and Lexus models sold in Europe.
This activity is done in close cooperation with local suppliers, related divisions in Toyota Motor Europe, our mother division in Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and other regional Toyota Accessory Development Bases worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Define product requirements so our suppliers can design according to our standards.
- Follow up with suppliers on regular basis to ensure parts are developed to meet performance, quality and cost targets.
- Secure regulation compliance and collaborate with homologation department.
- Confirm final 3D design and approve 2D drawings.
- Evaluate the parts to ensure all requirements are met. Solve any issues raised during evaluation and installation trials.
- Support quality engineers to solve the concerns raised during production trials.
- Support development of new types of accessories.
- Contribute to always improving our design standards.
Your Profile:
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- You have a degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial design
- You have minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- You have good knowledge of Catia or other design software.
- You have interest and experience in managing design projects with many stakeholders
- You have an interest in plastic parts quality and knowledge about materials & production
