We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer (f/m/x) to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, deploying backend services that seamlessly integrate with frontend applications, particularly within a cloud environment. You will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and efficient backend solutions to support our web applications.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

• Several years of professional and relevant experience in area of software development and

architectures

• Several years of experience in backend development, with a focus on cloud-based services
• Microservices Architecture : Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies
• Programming Languages : Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Node.js, or Python
• Frameworks and Libraries : Experience with backend frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot)
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud (preferred), AWS or Azure
• DEVOPS : Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)
• Databases : Proficiency with SQL is a must (e.g. PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL) and NoSQL is nice to have (e.g. MongoDB)
• Event-Driven Architecture : Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g. kafka)
• CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Security : Understanding of secure coding practices and experience with security frameworks
• Experience with development utilizing software development life cycle (SDLC) tools including GitHub, JIRA, Artifactory

• Design and Development: Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs to integrate with frontend applications.
• Cloud Integrations: Develop and deploy backend solutions on Cloud Platforms (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS or Azure) ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• API Development : Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend functionality
• Collaboration : Work closely with frontend engineers, UX/UI designers and product managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of new features
• Code Quality : Wrote clean, maintainable, and efficient code with comprehensive tests (unit, integration, etc)
• Monitoring and Logging : Set up and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting to ensure the reliability and performance of backend services.
