Job Description
Role overview:
The UKI Infrastructure and Platform team provide core services to our product and technology teams to enable them to have delivery and execution independence. As a Platform Engineer in the Platform Experience team, your role is crucial for maintaining and evolving the organization’s technology infrastructure too enhance our customers enablement. Responsibilities include platform development and maintenance, system monitoring and optimization, capacity planning, automation, security and compliance, support and incident management.
You will provide internal platforms and tooling to the wider business, including CI/CD tooling and Event Streaming. The team also owns and provides automation for third-party SaaS products, such as GitHub and Confluent Cloud. You will be responsible for enabling customers to consume these services, while implementing appropriate guardrails and automation.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates Good Knowledge of Infrastructure & Platforms Systems: Applies comprehensive understanding of group engineering systems management as key responsibility involves contributing to designs, implementing, and maintaining the Flutter UKI platform infrastructure. This includes both the development of new platforms and the enhancement of existing ones to meet evolving business needs.
• Driving Improvements: actively seek out opportunities to improve processes, adopt new technologies, and enhance the reliability, performance, and security of the platform
• Automation Contributor: Actively seeks and implements automation solutions and practices to reduce reliance on manual processes, and promotes self service
• Ownership: Exhibit ownership of squad deliverables, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and accountability. Lead and take charge of a work stream or incident.
• Mentorship: Act as a mentor to peers in the squad, actively sharing knowledge and teaching skills.
• Role Modelling: Serve as a role model both behaviorally and in terms of capabilities, inspiring Associate/Graduate Engineers through their actions.
• Consistency: Demonstrate a consistent delivery approach, providing a reliable and solid pair of hands in all tasks.
• Stakeholder Management: Exhibit comfort in engaging with non-technical stakeholders, showcasing effective communication and high-level engagement.
• Collaboration: Developing effective communication and collaboration with other teams, such as development and operations. You’ll work closely with these teams on initiatives, embracing feedback with a positive attitude.

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required

• Working knowledge of using the supported products in a production environment
