Description:
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud infrastructure, designing and implementing secure, scalable solutions to support our growing needs.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise to develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, and ensure the highest standards of security and compliance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact, driving forward our infrastructure strategy on a global scale.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven hands-on experience with Terraform, authoring complex Terraform code and modules.
- Minimum of 5 years in cloud infrastructure engineering, with an emphasis on AWS.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer certification.
- Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI (pipeline development).
- Extensive experience with GIT.
- Proficient in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with additional Hashicorp tools such as Vault and Packer.
- Experience with Azure cloud services.
- Previous experience in public sector or government projects.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Understanding of security scanning tools (static analysis, dynamic analysis, container scanning) and mitigating vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement secure, cost-effective cloud architectures using AWS services.
- Develop and maintain robust Terraform modules for AWS and Azure environments.
- Design, architect, and deploy CI/CD pipelines with tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to define infrastructure requirements and maintain alignment with business goals.
- Uphold governance standards and maintain ownership of Terraform module registries.
- Lead efforts to implement best practices in cloud security, architecture, and compliance.
- Continuously enhance our cloud infrastructure by staying updated on AWS services and industry trends.
