We’re on the hunt for a visionary Platform Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team. You’ll be the architect behind our developer platform, crafting a foundation of innovation and efficiency.

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our developer platform, ensuring it aligns with our overall business goals.
• Lead a talented team of platform engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Architect, design, and build a secure, scalable, and highly available platform on AWS using technologies like Serverless Framework, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Implement robust CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments.
• Implement code quality gates and code security gates.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and AWS CDK/SAM.
• Champion security best practices and integrate them into the platform through Security Gates and other measures.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate routine tasks and optimize platform functionality.
• Be a proactive problem solver, troubleshooting and resolving platform issues.
• Monitor platform performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Document processes and tools for seamless knowledge transfer and team efficiency.

Required

• Must have: Strong understanding & knowledge of Energy (Oil & Gas) industry, and proven work experience with the domain applications
• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role (8+ years).
• Deep understanding of AWS cloud services.
• Expertise in AWS Serverless and containers framework.
• Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
• Strong scripting skills in Python.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps(ADO), Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with Security Gates and security best practices in DevOps.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Preferred

• Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure Monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana).
• Experience with container registry management (e.g., EKS, Docker Hub, ECR).
• Working knowledge of OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing.
