We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Manager to join our Technology team.
About the Role
In the role of Platform Engineering Manager, you will integrate into a supportive senior leadership team and spearhead a group of technical engineers, administrators, and architects. Your leadership and mentorship will be pivotal in fostering a robust team culture. Moreover, you will guarantee the high availability, resilience, security, and performance of Corporate applications and their supporting platforms throughout the Bunnings store support, cloud, and store warehouse network.
Your responsibilities will encompass managing Tier 1 business-critical applications utilized by Store Support, Stores, and External Customers, covering Authentication, ERP, Financials, Pricing, Ordering, Procurement, Communications, Reporting, Integration, and more.
As a vital contributor to business strategy, you will oversee the development of application platform lifecycle management and maintenance, resource allocation, and prioritization, ensuring that deadlines are met in accordance with the broader business objectives.
About You
As a passionate and experienced technology leader, you exhibit strong skills in stakeholder management, organization, communication, and project management, as well as in building relationships. Your adeptness at problem-solving, outcome-driven, continuous improvement approach, and resourcefulness, combined with your robust mentoring and coaching abilities, have earned you high regard from the teams you have led. You also possess proficiency in collaborating with DevOps teams.

You will also have:

  • Experience leading and mentoring a technical team of various abilities and strengths
  • Experience in the management of complex business critical enterprise applications
  • Experience in managing issues and escalation of high profile, high criticality technical issues
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of technologies and stay abreast of current industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with any of the Application platforms below will be looked upon favorably:
  • ERP (Oracle EBusiness)
  • Integration (Oracle/Informatica)
  • Reporting (microstrategy/cognos)
  • Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)
  • MIro, Monday.com
