Description:
CAPGEMINI IS SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED, HIGHLY MOTIVATED AND DETAIL-ORIENTED PLATFORM SECURITY SPECIALIST FOR A TOP 10 US INSURANCE CARRIER.
The Platform Security Specialist is responsible for the hands-on implementation and maintenance of security controls across the organization’s cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and container environments. They ensure the security posture of the cloud environment by conducting thorough risk assessments, collaborating with security and engineering teams, and promoting a culture of security awareness. This role requires proven experience in cloud security, a strong understanding of security controls and risk assessment methodologies, and excellent collaboration and communication skills.

EXPERIENCE:
- Total Work Experience: Preferred: 7-9 years, Minimum Required: 4-6 years
- Work Experience in This Field: Preferred 5-7 years of Security Engineering
EDUCATION:
- Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of security tools and technologies.
- Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, PowerBi).
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
CLOUD AND CONTAINER SKILLS:
- AWS: Intermediate

SOFTWARE / TOOL SKILLS:

Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Security:
- Implement and manage security controls for AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, including IAM, networking, data protection, and threat detection.
- Configure and maintain security tools and technologies.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation.
- Secret Management:
- Manage and protect sensitive information using HashiCorp Vault, ensuring proper configuration and access controls.
- Collaborate with application teams to integrate Vault into their applications.
- Automation:
- Automate security tasks and processes to shift-left and prevent misconfiguration
- Develop scripts and tools for security assessments and remediation.
