Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web-based applications.
  • Integrate Playwright tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and product managers to define test automation strategies and best practices.
  • Execute and analyze test results, identifying issues, reporting defects, and working with teams to resolve them.
  • Maintain and update test frameworks, ensuring compatibility with new features, browser versions, and updates.
  • Optimize test execution, improving speed, reliability, and coverage across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, etc.).
  • Ensure browser compatibility testing for Chromium, Firefox, WebKit, and others as needed.
  • Contribute to documentation of test cases, automation processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with Playwright or other modern browser automation frameworks like Selenium, Puppeteer, or Cypress.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (or similar scripting languages like Python).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI) for automated test execution.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Experience in API testing and automation.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs).
  • Experience in cross-browser testing and debugging.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, Mocha, Jest, etc.).
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker for test environments.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for scalable test environments.
