Description:

Responsibilities:
PURPOSE:
To manage the total toll collection process and plaza operation in accordance with legal requirements and the prescribed toll fees, as well as in terms of Company procedures and policies. Ensure excellent customer relations from him/herself and subordinates at all times.
Qualifications, skills and required competencies to meet the job outcomes:
Grade 12
Applicable tertiary qualification will be advantages
Valid motor vehicle drivers licence

At least three years related experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist to ensure start of shift procedures are followed.
Ensure toll collection takes place in accordance with the operation contract with the South African National Road Agency (SANRAL) and Company procedures.
Ensure that traffic flows through the Plaza without undue delay to road users.
Ensure financial control and financial recordkeeping takes place in accordance with the Company procedures and Operation and Financial Management procedures with SANRAL.
Prepare and present reports and stats as per requirements of the Company and SANRAL.
Ensure all toll plaza buildings, stock and equipment are accounted for, are well maintained and function properly at all times.
Ensure sound relations with other departments’ personnel.
Ensure sound relations with the Technicians and SICE in order to ensure all equipment are maintained and repaired without any delays.
Ensure sound relations with subordinate staff and road users as per procedures of the Company and SANRAL.
Responsible for the health and safety of the toll plaza and administration thereof as per the relevant legislation.
Responsible for the security measures at the toll plaza.
Plan activities and manage performance of subordinate staff.
Ensure subordinate staff is motivated by ensuring job enrichment, training and development and proper internal communication take place.
Adherence and follow through of disciplinary matters related to subordinate staff.
Assist with chairing of disciplinary enquiries as and when required by management.
