QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years’ automation experience working in the Life Sciences industries.
  • 3+ years’ experience using Siemens PLC and associated hardware and applications.
  • Knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle and ANSI/ISA-S88 industry standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills required.
  • Ability to work well with diverse, multi-disciplined teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide automation guidance and expertise to multi-disciplinary project team executing projects on Siemens PLC controlled process equipment.
  • Projects involve long range preventative maintenance, obsolescence remediation, new product/technology introduction and plant modernisation/expansion.
  • Contribute to the generation of engineering documentation such as User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and System Architectures.
  • Contribute to the generation of project risk assessments such as QRA, ERES and DIA.
  • Contribute to standard operating procedure updates based on project scope.
  • Participate in equipment installation, complete root cause analysis, incident investigations and troubleshoot issues related to equipment control systems where necessary.
  • Manage and interact with third-party vendors to deliver equipment with the appropriate quality & schedule, and as per specified requirements.
  • Execution of FAT, SAT, IOQ, and production support.
