A new opportunity has arisen, based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Gepps Cross, for an individual with practical work experience in PLC Programming. Reporting to the Engineering Innovations Manager, and forming part of our collaborative engineering team, your varied role will entail the custom design and build of innovative equipment to enhance Stratco’s manufacturing operations. Broadly, you scope will include:
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems for automation applications.
- Work with control systems, sensors, and actuators to ensure seamless integration of machinery and systems.
- Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and performance evaluations to ensure proper functioning of PLC-controlled systems.
- Collaborate with your team members to ensure successful project completion and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support to our manufacturing sites regarding PLC systems and troubleshooting.
- Maintain and update PLC programming documentation and project files.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INDIVIDUAL (POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN), WITH;
- Proven work experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, or similar).
- Knowledge of control systems, and industrial automation.
- Experience with SCADA systems preferred
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field.
We are looking for a person with a genuine passion for automation and innovation, and welcome applications from 4th year apprentices or recently qualified tradespersons who have undertaken PLC and HMI programming.
