REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an information systems or IT role
- Through understanding of SQLServer, architectures/frameworks, SQL Scripting, SQL stored procedures, SSIS, C#, VB, Telerik reporting.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in requirements gathering and business process mapping preferably in PLM/Engineering function of a discrete or process manufacturing industry
- Demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, facilitation, problem-solving and consensus-building skills
- Extremely self-motivated and has experience in working with manufacturing and engineering groups and related processes with the ability to lead analysis and remediation of technical problems of medium complexity.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced, energetic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical language with all levels of staff and management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of .Net certification would be a plus
- Prior knowledge of and experience in other programing knowledge like Java or related certification.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams of developers, architects, and other support resources.
- Engineering and Manufacturing experience is desired
- Experience with PLM applications like SAP/PLM, Teamcenter, Windchill etc, while not essential, will be a plus.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with vendors/consultants and ensure continuous availability of PTS and other legacy applications, troubleshoot application related issues and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on high severity failure
- Develop customizations and enhancements to PTS and other related applications and support industrial strength technical solutions (i.e., reports, workflow, interfaces, program logic) using .Net. VB6 and SQL.
- Conduct and leads unit testing of the solutions
- Drive performance related improvements within the application, database, and O/S layers
- Assist Business Analysts with integration, regression, and acceptance testing
- Document application architecture components and enhancements
- Work with vendors/consultants to establish, create and execute deliverables
- Project Manage system enhancements and small projects
- Help business users with application training
- Assist users with data issues and matching business processes with application processes
- Work with other team members in learning other applications that the team supports, to effectively help where needed
- Define DevOps and execute DevOps strategy and implement best practices within the group.
- Other task, duties or special projects as directed by the IT Manager or IT Director of IT Operations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities
