OUR OPENING AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Within this functional area, the PLM Solution Specialist is part of the Product Structure/Bill of Material Product team and is responsible to support the R&D units with the creation and release of production data. You contribute to and execute PLM projects with METTLER TOLEDO subsidiaries and drive and manage a broad range of activities. We are looking for a passionate and innovative member to join our global team as a
PLM Solution Specialist 100% (all genders)

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

  • Support of end-to-end solution from creating designs for our products in our 3D Mechanical CAD systems (Creo and Inventor) until releasing it in our global PLM System (Teamcenter)
  • Provide tier 2 support (troubleshooting and resolving issues) in close collaboration with the power users (tier 1) in the units
  • Identify areas for improvement with regards to functionalities, performance, automation, user friendliness and robustness of the solutions
  • Contribute to the evolution of the global process template, design guidelines and design quality checks, collaborating with Product Owner, Solution Architect and Business Analyst
  • Support with the installation of MCAD applications incl. integrations with Teamcenter to the end user clients
  • Maintain the necessary documentation to make the power users self-sufficient (i.e. user manual, process documentation) and execute test scripts
  • Support enhancement and upgrade projects during all phases until delivery to production.
  • Execute user training for new functionalities and refresh trainings

Following requirements are necessary for this role:

  • You have a higher education (FH/HF) in mechanical engineering or in a similar area
  • You bring good knowledge of the following tools
  • Good knowledge of CAD for mechanical systems (preferred PTC Creo, Autodesk Inventor is a plus)
  • PLM systems (Siemens Teamcenter is a plus)
  • You are familiar with change management processes (CMII, ITIL or similar) and experience with developing installation scripts and facilitating their distribution to end users globally is desirable
  • You have an independent, accurate way of working and understanding of complex processes and interdependencies with a high problem-solving ability
  • You bring excellent team player capabilities and communication skills across different teams and regions (i.e., R&D, Operations)
  • Furthermore, willingness to travel is required (including intercontinental) up to 20% and the responsibilities sometimes require working on evenings and weekends
  • You are fluent in English, German is an advantag
