Description:
PM PRACTICE MANAGER, HYBRID, PERMANENT, LONDON
To lead the Practice for all Project Managers deployed on projects and programmes across the Pay.UK portfolio. This will include non Pay.UK staff when temporary augmentation is required for specific initiatives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To provide direction and support to the practice members to enable them to shape and deliver projects and programmes successfully.
- To support the Head of P3O in shaping and delivering the Team’s contribution to Pay.UK ambitions and seeking to continuously improve the service.
- To work with the P3O and Programme Managers to understand future pipeline requirements and how they will need to be addressed by the PM Delivery Practice.
- To ensure the capability and capacity requirements for the practice are in line with what is required to maintain delivery of a balanced Pay.UK ‘rolling’ portfolio of change.
- To manage the PM Practice budget.
- In conjunction with the P3O and the BA Practice, adopt appropriate methods, tools and processes (the Change Framework) to support PMs in delivery.
- To work with the Head of P3O and Programme managers to provide opportunities for people to move into and out of the practice for career development and capability growth.
- To undertake line management responsibilities in accordance with Pay.UK policies relating to employee well-being, training and development, working arrangements, performance management and adherence to Pay.UK governance policies.
- To provide coaching, development and support for practice members.
- To create a sense of community within the practice to develop mutual support and knowledge sharing, as well as enabling the Delivery Practice to contribute in the same vein to the wider Change Team community.
- To support the initiative to grow capability in the Change Team and the Pay.UK Directorates Represent Pay.UK at external events and conferences as is required.
- Ensure compliance by the change function of all relevant Pay.UK policies and procedures.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Enterprise portfolio, programme and project delivery.
- Leadership of a Change function, ideally a PM Practice.
- Stakeholder management at all levels of an organisation, especially at Board and Executive levels.
- Supplier management, from selection to post implementation management.
- People management, development and motivation.
- Leading growth in organisational change capability.
- Improving operational effectiveness.
- Communication and influencing.
