We are looking for a PMO Analyst (Maternity cover) to be part of the Delivery team within the Portfolio Office of the Digital Technology Group (DT). The delivery team leads business change, software, systems and infrastructure technology delivery across DT globally, to help make Arup’s strategic plan and digital vision a reality.
The PMO analyst will work a with a wide variety of stakeholders as part of a small global team to lead, facilitate and support our portfolio, programme and project demand and delivery approach to maximise value, effectiveness and agility.

- Working without continual direct support, seeking guidance when necessary, this the role is responsible for meeting deadlines, and may be required to monitoring budges and control expenditure to meet financial targets in its own area;
- Represent Arup at internal and external events and this role may be responsible for designing and delivering events, activities and projects which impact the business;
- Responsible for the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction and feedback.
- Project manage small to medium sized projects, delegating and managing tasks of junior team members.
- This role will have numerous growth opportunities within Arup. You will gain valuable experience in project and portfolio management, positioning you for roles such as Portfolio Manager or Programme Manager. This role also offers the chance to deepen your technical proficiency with a range of digital tools, which can lead to more technical leadership or data analytics positions.
- In a typical day, the PMO Analyst will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including project and programme managers, business analysts, and members of the Digital Technology Group. You’ll ensure adherence to agreed portfolio delivery processes by providing training, guidance, and coaching. Managing the development of dashboards for data analysis and visualisation, you will contribute to operational priorities and leadership decision-making. A significant portion of your day may involve managing the integrity and timeliness of portfolio datasets and ensuring accurate project status reporting. Additionally, you will drive innovation by seeking opportunities to automate processes and leverage AI, while also managing monthly financial reporting to maintain alignment with business objectives.

- Understanding of Modern Portfolio Delivery Methods: This includes agile methods, which are crucial for managing portfolio programmes effectively.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: The role requires working with a diverse range of stakeholders and facilitating various project management processes.
- Proficiency in Digital Tools and Technology: Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project Online, Azure DevOps, Jira, and business intelligence platforms like PowerBI, QlikView, or Tableau is essential for data analysis and portfolio management.
- Strong Analytical Skills: The ability to work with disparate data sets and build reports or dashboards for decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Business Acumen and Financial Literacy: A commercial mindset with a solid understanding of financial accounting principles is vital for managing monthly financial reporting and ensuring alignment with business objectives
