About the role
We are currently looking for a PMO Analyst to directly support the improvements required in how our packaging sites manage carbon, water & waste to deliver DS Smith’s “Now & Next” Sustainability Strategy. You will play an important role in supporting the changes required for our Health & Safety Vision Zero ambition, and the delivery of projects. You will provide business-critical insights to enable prioritisation decisions and effective allocation of resources across various portfolio/ programmes.

Your remit will include but not limited to:

  • Work closely with Delivery lead and HSSER Project managers to create and maintain portfolio/programme delivery schedules, milestones, and tasks;
  • Organise and prepare HSSER portfolio/programme management meetings and workshops to define governance and track projects status;
  • Support the implementation of the Delivery Framework;
  • Provide systems and tools for capacity planning and resource management across portfolio/programme;
  • Monthly, quarterly, and periodic tracking reports of HSSER programmes which inform key stakeholders on performance against target;
  • Conduct regular in-depth data analysis to improve sustainability data quality, identify performance drivers and opportunities;
  • Develop mechanisms to enable benefits management across portfolio/programme.

About you

  • Educated to a degree level in an analytical (or related) field;
  • Advanced MS Excel skills; MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project proficient;
  • Quantitative/analytical skills, as well as strong problem-solving skills - ability to think outside the box and demonstrate a “can do” attitude;
  • Comprehensive project/programme management skills and knowledge, including project management methodology and tools;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Excellent documentation skills, quality focused with a keen eye for detail;
  • Curious, commercially aware and willing to challenge current practices where appropriate, in order to improve the impact master data has on the business.
