ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced PMO Manager, lead the overall planning and execution of key national Defence programs. Working in close collaboration with a highly experienced PMO function, the PMO manager will monitor, control and successfully deliver programs, ensuring their adherence to agreed timelines, budgets and requirements as set by the commonwealth and organisational leadership.
In this role, you will develop and maintain PMO policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure seamless project management. You will manage cross-functional PMO team members in areas such as planning, scheduling, cost control, analysis, quality assurance, global trade, and data management.
A key part of your responsibilities will be championing L3Harris’ best practices throughout the program lifecycle, including start-up, change management, risk and opportunity management, earned value management, and closeout.
To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;
- Substantial Program Management experience in the Defence arena
- Maritime and Naval platforms knowledge or experience
- A proven background in both acquisition and support program delivery
- Experience in managing or delivering scope across the full systems engineering lifecycle
- Demonstrated understanding and application of Earned Value Management
- Excellent personnel management skill
