Description:
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- Experience of working in a Project environment, Programme Management Office or Project delivery team within an organisation, delivering large scale complex changes across multiple geographies. Knowledge of good-practice project, programme and portfolio management methodologies and approaches e.g., waterfall, Agile, etc.
- Experience in the development of project and programme management standards, processes and guidelines, and their continued development to meet organisational need
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the business and to various stakeholder groups, both in writing and verbally
- Able to challenge constructively, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the organisation
- Able to operate effectively within levels of ambiguity
- Confident with data analysis and insight
- Continuous improvement - track record of identifying and delivering improvements
- Awareness of cultural environments and able to adapt approach accordingly
- Strong inter-personal skills, able to provide robust challenge but also build supportive relationships with delivery teams and senior management
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel
- Experience of Keyedin would be a plus
Responsibilities:
The initiatives will be a mixture but likely to be more people & process change than large IT transformations.
Key objectives include:
- Establishing and embedding the PMO capability for Solutions and Services and supporting the delivery of the portfolio of initiatives.
- Monitoring & maintaining the plan, and progress tracking of initiative delivery, risks, issues, dependencies and capacity management
- Using data and analysis to proactively identify and resolve issues, to enable the removal of barriers to execution and allowing for efficient decision making
- Undertaking assurance activities to maintain quality, minimise the impact of issues and ensuring the changes adheres to company policies and procedure.
- Managing the Small Change process to ensure timely delivery, with quantifiable business outcomes.
- Producing programme reporting
- Liaising with other PMO and delivery organisations across the group to ensure alignment of plans & dependencies
- Undertaking lessons learned activities working to drive continuous improvement in outcomes and processes
